Luleå Airport is today Sweden’s fifth largest airport with approximately one million passengers each year. The airport is located in the Luleå municipality, seven kilometres outside of the city centre. Together with the neighbouring municipalities of Piteå, Älvsbyn, Boden and Kalix, there is a collective population of over 167,000 inhabitants, all of which are located within one hour to and from the airport.
