Security control
If you have baggage, you should go first to a check-in counter and then to the security checkpoint. When it’s your turn to go through security screening, be prepared.
Get ready in order to get through faster – have your boarding card, one-litre bag with liquids, electronic devices, sharp objects and outer clothing ready.
It’s OK to pass through security screening even if your gate has not been posted.

Keep this in mind before the security checkpoint
Â
Place containers holding liquids in a reclosable plastic bag
Each container that holds liquid may hold up to 100 ml (1 dl). The plastic bag may hold at most 1 litre of liquids. It is only allowed to bring one (1) bag per person.
It must be easy for you to remove liquid medicines, baby food and special diet food from your bag. You will need to show these at the security checkpoint. You can read here about what you may take on board.
Â
Get ready to place the following items in a trayÂ
Remove your outer clothing, jacket, head covering and metal objects such as belts with a large buckle or jewellery. Remove any laptop computers and other electronic devices from your bag. Empty your pockets of loose items such as keys, coins or your mobile phone.
Â
Show your boarding card at the security checkpoint
You obtain a valid boarding card once you’ve checked in. The boarding card comes in different formats – for example, as a paper print-out, on your mobile phone, on the airline’s card or on a credit card.
Keep this in mind when you’re at the security checkpoint
Â
Remove your outer clothing, jacket, head covering and metal objects such as belts with a large buckle or jewellery and place them in a tray.Â
Â
Place your one-litre bag with liquids in a tray so that is visible together with loose items such as keys, coins or your mobile phone.
Â
Place large electronic devices such as your laptop in the tray so that they are visible.
Sometimes you may be asked to remove your shoes. Show your liquid medicines, baby food or special diet food.Â
You pass through the metal detector at the same time as your hand baggage is X-rayed.
If prohibited items are detected, they will be taken from you.

More information about security screening
In a way, you – or your hand baggage – will go through security screening twice, which increases the waiting time both for you and other passengers. In that case, the security screener must detect in an X-ray image that you have electronics in your bag. They must find you and ask you to remove the electronics in order for it to go through the X-ray machine again.
