The road across the Datça peninsula has stunning scenery, with steep mountains, ravines and flat countryside. Datça is an attractive village about 90 kilometres west of Marmaris. From Körmen, just north of Datça, there are boats to the port city of Bodrum. At the Saturday market in Datça you will find food, household utensils, beautiful tablecloths and clothes. Best Time to Visit

The hot and humid summer months are high season in Marmaris, so the best months to visit are May, June and September, when there are fewer crowds, the temperatures are pleasant and rain is not frequent. However, thanks to its Mediterranean climate, Marmaris is enjoyable all year round. Winters are usually mild and rainy.
