Travelling and Covid-19
The health and safety of our passengers is our top priority – together we help each other reduce the spread of infection.
Swedavia monitors developments on a daily basis and is in continuous contact with the Public Health Agency of Sweden and other relevant authorities. At our airports, we follow the European Aviation Safety Agency’s guidelines, which were developed to reduce the spread of infection in conjunction with the Covid-19 pandemic. You may therefore see that we have different recommendations at the airport than those in effect in Sweden otherwise.
Before your journey
Covid-19-test
Upon entry from abroad
As a Swedish citizen, you must take a Covid test as soon as possible after your arrival and then again five days later. Stay home and avoid close contact with others during your first seven days in Sweden. You will find more information about what rules apply on the Public Health Agency of Sweden’s website.
Non-Swedish travellers must provide proof of a negative Covid test result upon entry to Sweden and cannot be tested upon arrival.
Upon departure from Sweden
Most countries and airlines require travellers to provide proof of a negative result for a recent Covid test. Some countries also require a certified antigen test. You may miss your flight or be denied entry into a country if you do not have the certificates required. It is important that you find out what applies to you and what preparations you need to make before you go to the airport.

Check in from home
We encourage you to check in from home via the airlines websites and apps.

Wear a face mask in the terminal
We would like everyone in the terminal to wear face masks. Have a face mask with you throughout your journey – airlines require passengers to wear face masks on board the aircraft.

If your trip should be cancelled or rebooked
Many of the airlines offer flexible rebooking conditions adjusted to Covid-19. Contact your airline or tour for more information about your journey.
