Airport City Göteborg
At the same time as we build for the air travel of the future, an airport city with warehouse and logistics operations, offices, hotels, retail venues and other workplaces is taking shape immediately adjacent to Göteborg Landvetter Airport. Our vision is an airport city at the cutting edge, with opportunities for the companies of tomorrow to work and grow. We call it Airport City Göteborg.
Göteborg Landvetter Airport is western Sweden’s international airport, with 90 direct routes to destinations around the world. Nearly seven million passengers fly to or from the airport each year. Given its location – in the middle of Scandinavia, between Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm – Göteborg Landvetter is also an important hub for international cargo.
The first airport city in western Sweden is now being developed here – an attractive meeting place with the world just around the corner. DB Schenker, DHL Express, Postnord, Rajapack, Vätterleden Logistik, Dawa Däck, McDonald’s and OKQ8 are examples of companies that have already set up operations in the area, and more are on the way.
A new hotel is also taking shape right next to the terminal which will be operated by Scandic Hotels.
Airport City Göteborg will be developed in phases and is expected to be fully constructed in 2045.
